Hi! I’m Michelle…
I grew up in the country, enjoying everything Mother Nature had to offer...sunshine, fresh air, flowers, cute critters and plenty of wide open places to explore! All these things made my heart happy and continue to inspire my work today. Additionally, I was inspired by my grandma, my aunt and my dad, all very creative people! I dabbled in just about everything handmade and still do, but my first love is painting.
Over 28 years ago, my dad began creating unique home and garden pieces that I painted; we sold them, seasonally, at a local barn boutique. Over time, we began peddling our creations in shows and various shops, mostly in California; we built up a large following. After my dad’s passing, I named the business Rustic Raven Decor and expanded sales outlets to include boutiques in my studio, a booth at a fabulous, local antiques shop and online.
I absolutely LOVE to paint and create; when my fingers are busy, I feel happy and fulfilled. Daily, I am inspired and that ignites my passion to continually design new things. I am thankful for all the faithful followers who have purchased from me through the years and I look forward to making new connections. It is my hope that each piece I create brings as much joy to the person who purchases it as I experienced while creating it!
